LOYOLA SCHOOL CELEBRATES REPUBLIC DAY WITH PATRIOTIC FERVOR

Loyola School marked the 76th Republic Day of India with vibrant celebrations reflecting deep patriotism and unity, on 26th January 2025 on the school premises. The event was graced by the esteemed Guest of Honour, Mr. Ronald D'Costa, a distinguished patron of the school alumni, alongside the Principal, Fr. Vinod Fernandes, Vice Principals, Ms. Jayanthi Sheshadri and Ms. Vineeta Ekka, the Principal of the Hindi School, Fr. Jyoti Ranjan, the staff, alumni, parents, and students.
The program commenced with the ceremonial unfurling of the national flag by the Guest of Honour, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. A series of cultural performances captivated the audience, including a patriotic song, dance, and a skit that beautifully showcased the core values enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
In his address, Mr. D'Costa delivered an inspiring speech, applauding the students for their talent and creativity. He emphasized the importance of honoring the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters and contributing to nation-building. Mr. D'Costa reminded the audience of the legacy of the Jesuit institution, which, for over 500 years, has been a beacon of education, shaping countless lives and enriching society.
The Principal, Fr. Vinod Fernandes, expressed his gratitude in his Vote of Thanks, commending the efforts of all participants and organizers. He highlighted the significance of Republic Day and encouraged students to uphold the ideals of the Constitution, urging them to be responsible citizens who actively contribute to the nation’s progress.
On the special occasion the school also honored the gardeners for their hard work behind the beautiful garden which won the first prize in the garden competition.
The celebration inspired a profound sense of patriotism and pride, leaving a lasting impression on all present.
