Rector quoted from Rabindranath Tagore's Gitanjali, invoking the timeless prayer for a nation "where the mind is without fear and the head is held high." This literary reference not only enriched the speech with poetic grace but also underscored the core message of freedom, dignity, and moral courage - values that remain as relevant today as they were at the dawn of independence. By drawing on Tagore's words, Fr. Rector connected the audience to India's cultural heritage while urging them to embody these ideals in their daily lives. The India of tomorrow will be built by the hands of the youths of today. Even a small act contributes to the greatness of our nation. His words echoed the importance of responsible citizenship in building a stronger India. The cultural segment of the celebration showcased the talent and enthusiasm of the students. Light always follows struggle and hope is the eternal guide for every soul. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Fr. Vinod Fernandes, Principal, who appreciated the efforts of the students in making the celebration a memorable one. He also emphasized that our real tribute to the nation lies not only in words but also in our actions by being respectful, honest and compassionate towards all those in need.
