Loyola School, Jamshedpur, proudly inaugurated the Scholastic Book Fair on 4th May, 2026 at the Knowledge Centre. The fair, scheduled to continue on 5th and 6th May during school hours, aims to promote reading habits and foster a lifelong love for books among students.

The inauguration ceremony was marked by the presence of the Principal, Fr. Vinod Fernandes, S.J. along with the Vice Principal, Ms. Jayanthi Sheshadri, the Coordinator, Ms. Victoria Prasad, teachers, librarians and students. The event began with a warm welcome address highlighting the significance of books as sources of knowledge, imagination and personal growth. The primary objective of organizing the Scholastic Book Fair is to cultivate a strong reading culture among students by encouraging independent reading, enhancing comprehension skills and stimulating imagination.

The ceremony opened with a solemn prayer, invoking blessings for the success of the fair and for nurturing young minds through the power of reading. The Principal, Fr. Vinod Fernandes, officially inaugurated the Book Fair, marking the beginning of a vibrant literary event within the school campus. Students have been given the opportunity to visit the fair during school hours and explore a diverse collection of books across genres. Those interested may purchase books as per their choice.
