A delegation of 83 Science students of the science stream from Loyola School, accompanied by senior faculty members Mrs. Rajani Kumari, Mrs. Maninder Kaur, and Mr. Ashish Kapoor, visited CSIR-NML, Jamshedpur.
The program commenced with a briefing on the significance of scientific research and CSIR’s national contributions, followed by an introductory address by Dr. Siva Prasad, Dr. K. Gopala Krishna, and Dr. Animesh Jana.
Students visited several specialized laboratories and experimental setups:
Advanced Analytical Centre (AAC): Advanced material characterization.
Materials Testing & Evaluation (MTE): Structural integrity and mechanical testing.
Urban Ore Recycling Centre: Sustainable extraction of valuable metals from e-waste.
Electrolysis Lab: Live experiments on electrochemical processes.
Current & Electricity Setup: Practical demonstrations of electrical circuits and properties.
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Facility: Advanced material evaluation without structural damage.
To conclude the visit the students participated in a quiz competition organised by CSIR-NML , which was thoroughly enjoyed by the students.
