Teachers play a vital role in shaping young minds, nurturing talents and values, and guiding students towards becoming responsible and confident individuals. Teachers’ Day is therefore an occasion to acknowledge their dedication, patience and tireless contribution to the lives of students. In keeping with this spirit, the students of Loyola School, Bistupur, celebrated Teachers’ Day with warmth, gratitude and enthusiasm.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the teachers, who were escorted into the auditorium in a graceful procession. The procession was led by Fr. Michael Thanaraj S.J.Rector Loyola school , Fr. Vinod Fernandes S.J.Principal Loyola School , Ms Jayanthi Sheshadri, Vice Principal, Senior Section, Ms Vineeta F. Ekka, Vice Principal, Junior Section, along with the Coordinators and the Discipline In-Charge. The ceremonial welcome set the tone for a celebration dedicated to the school’s mentors and guides.

The programme began with a prayer led by Fr. Rector, seeking the blessings of the Almighty for the occasion. This was followed by a tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birth anniversary is observed as Teachers’ Day in India.

The celebration featured a vibrant array of cultural programmes presented by students. A light-hearted choral recitation offered a humorous glimpse into the life of a teacher, followed by a soulful poetry presentation expressing gratitude and admiration for the teachers. The cultural segment continued with energetic and graceful dance performances by students, bringing enthusiasm and colour to the celebration. The programme also included engaging fillers and an Antakshari session, adding an element of fun and interaction to the occasion.

The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Fr. Principal. He appreciated the hard work and enthusiasm of the students in presenting the programme and acknowledged the tireless efforts of teachers in shaping their lives. The celebration ended on a note of gratitude and appreciation for the teachers, whose guidance and dedication continue to inspire students every day.
